Davison-Paxon Company in 1926

Atlanta enjoyed trememdous real estate growth from 1921 to 1926. This photo from the Atlanta Journal dated June 20, 1926 reflects the rapid constrution of a large department store, Davison-Paxon-Stokes, a Macy Department Store located at Peachtree and Ellis Streets. The total investment was approximately $3,000,000 in the building alone. Starrett Brothers Construction Company.
