The Fox Theatre Opened Today in 1929

A place of Dreams!

Anyone who has ever resided in Atlanta knows The Fox Theatre.  This fabulously ornate movie palace which opened on Christmas Day in 1929.  It is one of the largest (250,000 square feet) movie palaces ever built in this great country of ours.  Originally,  the location was the new headquarters of the Shriners and Yaarab Temple.  Beginning with the "talkies" the theatre served a golden age of the movies.  It's great organ (still in place) was played during the first old classics.  Its lavish arabic interior design and furnishings gives every attendee the feeling of elegance and grandeur. That is why it is still a dream place!
