Dorsey House

Dorsey house in Lovejoy.  The Dorsey's were planters, lawyers and prominent persons in the community.  This home was the site of some historical moments when refugees vacated Atlanta during Sherman's seige. There was a last minute hurry to get out of Atlanta, and the train south was about the only one running. Refugees found safety at Scanty Town near Jonesboro, and Lovejoy.
