The Castle

Built by Ferdinand McMillan in 1919 on 15th Street, this home became known as "the castle". It's base was granite stone hauled from Stone Mountain. I remember visiting this old relic as late as about 1962. It was huge, featuring many rooms and side-rooms. It lost it's fame but nit charm when an assortment of renters took it over and finally was a coffee house during Atlanta's beatnik era.
