Wash Collier



George Washington Collier was born 1813, a son of Meredith Collier, removed in 1823 with his father to land he purchased on Peachtree Road between Atlanta and Peachtree Creek (now known as Collier Hills). At the time of his death in 1903 Mr. Collier was one of the largest landowners in Fulton County. He owned a store at Five Points on Peachtree Street between Edgewood Avenue and Decatur Streets (where Ansley Park is now situated).
